I was born in West Monroe, Louisiana, and grew up in southwest Ouachita Parish. As I was growing up, my dad worked as a general contractor and my mother was a stay-at-home mom. I spent the days of my childhood exploring the backwoods of Louisiana and developed a passion for adventure and the outdoors. From a young age, I knew I wanted to experience the world and do something significant with my life. These desires, along with my devotion to Jesus, with whom I experienced a life-changing relationship at the age of 16, led me to traveling adventures in 5 continents before the age of 30 and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, like hiking in the Himalayan Mountains and cage diving with great white sharks in Australia. The only experience better than those was helping some of the amazing people I met come to know Jesus. I love adventure and I love to tell people about Jesus. One of my life goals is to share the gospel on 6 continents; I only have one left: Europe.
Over 16 years of full-time ministry, I have learned a lot about myself, my calling, and my purpose. When I look at my journey and my spiritual gifts, I am 100% certain that God has called me to be the Lead Pastor of an amazing group of people. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that everything I have experienced up to this point in my life has been preparing me for that group of people. I believe that God will use me to be a significant part of their spiritual journey and they will do the same for me and my family. We have been praying for this opportunity for 16 years and we cannot wait to see what God has in store for us!

I met my wife, Miranda, when I was a junior in high school and we started dating in October of 2004. After dating for 6 years and once I was done playing college baseball, I proposed to her, she accepted, and we got married on July 10, 2010. After graduating college in 2011, we moved to Fort Worth, TX where I started pursuing a Masters in Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2015, we had our first child, our son Arrow. He is definitely my “mini-me”. We now have three children. Arrow who is 9 years old, and our two daughters, Day who is 7, and Isla who is 5 years old.
Out of all the adventures and accomplishments in life, my marriage to Miranda and raising our kids together are at the top. Miranda is the love of my life. The first night I met her as a 16-year-old boy, my parents asked me “How did it go?” and I told them “I met the girl I’m going to marry tonight.” I am so blessed to say that I have spent the last 20 years with my dream girl. Other than Jesus, no one has impacted my life more than Miranda Gryder. I could not have asked for a better spouse and children to be on this ministry journey with me.
